
Revolutionizing biosenisng by 3D photonic printing of optoacoustic sensors
REVOPT will develop a novel 3D-printed ultrasound detector, specifically customized to mid-infrared optoacoustic sensing (MiROS), and integrate this detector into the MiROS sensor and test the sensor in phantoms and animals. REVOPT will deliver the world's first portable mid-infrared optoacoustic sensor that can non-invasively detect biomolecules in blood, such as glucose. Non-invasive detection of biomolecules would significantly ease the monitoring of various diseases, including diabetes.
